I spent my whole life climbing this mountain. Because what I wanted was on the other side. And finally I reached the top. I could hardly breathe, the air molecules being so far apart. Then alone I looked down upon the prize. So I started walking. This is the easy part, right? But then the slope increased, and I was running, bounding, skipping with renewed energy. Tripped on a rock. Turned into a wheel. Picking up rocks and dirt and came to a rest halfway down on a ledge.

With broken legs. I had nothing but a piece of paper. Wrote these wishes on it and made a paper plane. There you were at the bottom of the valley, drinking from the fountain. Held on and jumped.

I had the above dream. And you were in it. But it wasn't really you. Then all of a sudden, I was up on this stage, and I looked down and I was moving my hands around all crazy on this bass, and playing along with this music, and there were these bad ass musicians up there playing with me, but I didn't know how, or what I was actually playing. But it sounded really cool, because you were there, even if you looked like someone else. I wish I could describe what it sounded like. Sort of like this…

I'm often wondering how one person can change the world. I was watching this special on caribou the other day, and it was talking about why these huge herds of caribou take off and stampede for hundreds of miles. Apparently they're just trying to stop being bitten by mosquitoes. It taught me a valuable lesson about life. If you want to make a big change the world, be a small, blood-sucking parasite.
