Things are going WAY to far... the government going onto peoples private property to keep watch on what they do, unnecessary search and seizure, etc. And now illegal phone recordings.

If we let this continue, we will be living in the world of 1984 - a very scary thought indeed! After all, if we don't take a stand now, putting a stop to the government going against our constitutional rights and those alotted to us through the Bill of Rights, there will be nothing to stop them from continually taking more and more rights away from us over time without our consent. And then, years down the road when we say "Wow, wow, what do you think you're doing?!" they're simply say, "Doing what you're allowing us to do." and they'll keep on doing it.

Right now, the majority of the citizens in America are sitting there saying "Oh, it's alright. Let it go. They're doing this to protect us, and it's fine." by either saying nothing or actually saying that. The problem is what I just said above - they'll keep doing it. It's human nature to get as much power as we can get. And the more power, the more corrupt humans usually become - and the government is made up of a number of powerful humans. See where this is headed?

This is not a matter of "Big Brother is watching over us and protecting us..." this is a matter of "Big Brother wants to get away our rights under the name of protection." This must STOP!

Voice your opinions! Start or sign petitions! If you're of voting age, VOTE! And not for the "lesser of two evils", but of the right choice. We, as Americans, have the RESPONSIBILITY and, at this time, THE ABILITY, to stop this and make a change. Years down the road, however, when freedom of speak is completely or mostly taken away, when the right to peacefully protest is gone, when the right to take action is removed, that ability will vanish. LET US BEGIN MAKING CHANGES WILL WE STILL CAN!

One of the philosophers of the enlightenment period that gave the path to the creation of the social contract, the basis of our Constitution, said something interesting. He said that if we as signatories onto the contract, violate a law, are violating the contract, and, depending on the severeity of the crime, may loose it's protection. Now, the government has violated it's contract with us...namely, the fourth amendment in this case. While I am against armed revolution, I think, considering the government's repeated violation of this social contract, we have the right to no longer support it's movers. How can we restore the government and our contract with it? VOTING, my friend. More so, let's not bow down to what official releases are. Someone said, "In these times, even telling the truth is revolutionary." While we have different economic philosophies, my friend, we have common ground when it comes to the people's rights as enumerated and implied in Article VII of the Constitution and what has been determined through law.
