Phil’s Pre-Birthday Day Out @ StarCity

The bloody Lincoln show got cancelled!!!

Bad times in some respects but good in others, it meant we had a day to chill and treat Phil a little bit before his Birthday the next day.

So we went for an amazing Toby Carvery, where we were waited on by Joe’s sister, who seemed a little hurt by Phil’s explanation of why waitresses should not be tipped.

After lunch we drove just down the road to StarCity the best place around for any indoor activity/time killer known to man! Despite Jim wanting to go bowling and Si and Tom wanting to play 5 a side football we settled on going to see Bruno, which is by far the funniest thing we have seen since Borat, and then the ultimate sporting competition know to man, Crazy Golf!!

After a poor start by everyone, except Tom (the only one of us who shows any sporting interest), Phil managed, after wildly hitting and hoping until we all put across the importance of the event, to get 2 holes in 1 in a row!!!!!

We finished up and realised that non of us had done any shopping for the 3 day festival we would be heading off to the next day, so we dived into the Van and drove the wrong way around the car park, at which Tom dropped his Lucozade and got stuck between seats trying to find it. We did eventually get to a supermarket to buy Cider, Red Bull and a bit of food to set us up for a sunny music filled weekend, or so we hoped!

Chilled out and ready to go. Day 9. DONE
