Just thinkin that you need to be informed that the recording of our album nr 3 (or then again, is it 5? or 6? I guess we should agree its 3rd cos the first two ones weren..t that official nor were they as cool) - well, the recording sessions for our 3rd album are going pretty smoothly. Well, i think you need to be informed cos the last time we blogged was in december.

Right now we have something like 10 songs recorded. Actually, i should say that are working on 10 songs. None of them are fully ready, well, say, there might be 3 or 4 songs that don..t need very much work on them anymore, maybe just a guitar part here or there, maybe a resung vocal track or something like this. But the vast majority of these tunes are still half-ready. Half of the parts are played in, that is. Well, maybe more, maybe like 65%.

A bit weird to think about it, but we started recording about a year ago! Comparing to the first 2 demoalbums, that were ready in one day it is like doing a Yes album or "Chinese Democracy". A bit.

This is how it..s gone - after we did 2 songs - "Mu binoklis" ("In my binocular") & "Reede" ("Friday") almost excactly a year ago at my country house, then we suddenly were out of new songs. Until "(Sa olid mu viimase leveli) Lõpuboss" (("You were my last Levels) End-of-level-Boss)", "Start!Stop!" (no need to translate, i guess) and an instrumental track (i..d rather not mention its name yet) crept in during the rehearsals in the living room of the parents of Kirss bros. Somewhere during the late autumn-winter. And when the songs were ready, then in the spring (but who remembers when? Was it march or april?) we started recording again. Slowly but steadily, on weekends. Cos we all live in Tallinn now, but for some reason we..ve been doing all of the recording in Paide this time. Which means weekends filled with rehearsals and/or recording sessions at the same house where the Kirss family lives (and part of them + neighbours probably suffer from those indie-decibels).

And, well - restarted in spring, right now its august and the schedule is getting more and more intense. For example, last weekend we had a vocals-session at my countryhouse again, went pretty well, did 3 songs. Foto made wonders arrangements-wise and sung in "Start! Stop!" very finely, i tried to be melancholic, yet lovely on a surf ballad and so it went. A week before that a day full of drum..n..bass and a night full of guitars, all in the Kirss familiy living room, until an interrutpion by a certain not-so-happy Dad at about 1:30 o..clock. This weekend - piano parts await (maybe).

As for having 10 songs right now - i think that most probably we wont make a 10-song album, we have to have more songs. Well, no problem with that as we have ideas already for things to record (be warned, i bought a banjo! And Foto has a Gretsch Lap Steel. Not that it means that the new one will be a country album, it will be diverse and rocking, i hope).

Well - next month 2 gigs in Finland w Goonight Monsters! We..re excited. And having a new record to complete, things are looking up.
