Some of the songs from "Birth of a Cynic" were rerecorded for "In Moderation". Do you have a favorite version of any of these songs and why?
The Last Dog and Pony Show

I have always preferred the BOAC version of "Esteem"
love from Gary S-G

Not the first time I've heard that one. Alot of people really connected to that song on BOC.

All of the re-recorded versions sound better!

I agree. Toby Wright is kind of awesome :) But I am proud of what we were able to accomplish being so young and on our own.

Like IM recordings more, but I did the soft first chorus and bass part on "Wider" on BOC.  "Not Alive" on BOC is cool because it has a really grunge sound.

Yeah, that was a tough call on the chorus of Wider. I probably lean towards the slow build too often. I do remember thinking the bridge change was a stroke of genius, Toby's idea, our execution :)

esteem in mod. the cleaner guitar works better...not alive cynic the raw overdriven guitar and slightly slower tempo sets it off perfectly...wider is just about the same on both think the vox were a little better on in mod. though....forget is awesome on both even though they're very different i think its too close to call
