REGGAE TOGETHERNESS

Peace my good friends!

Its the fall time and i do hope all is warm and
nice with you and family.Autumn leaves blowing, chilly nights by the cozy fire with loved ones and hot cocoa.

You know, I was talking to a friend who is in a well known reggae band
based on the east coast..As we were talking, he mentioned performing a show not in his town where there were a few other reggae bands on the bill.

Some he knew well, with some others that was the first time seeing them perform.
So he continued reasoning with me, saying, "Some reggae bands preach the one love and good vibes, but its a front".

I asked him to explain... he told me that after they performed and wrecked the
crowd, backstage it was crazy looks and nasty glares. I was surprised at that and said so.... and he further explained that is one of the reasons reggae suffers.

The ego, the wanting the attention of people (mainly pretty women).I had to laugh, for you would think he might be speaking on some rap or rock artist, but reggae???

Reggae is a conscious music for the world to embrace and
enjoy. It speaks of Universal Love. Letting one cares aside and just feeling the Ital
sounds and bringing a enlightment to the mind through mystical sound and deep vibes, that what reggae is to me.Women may be attracted to male artists who do this, but it happens in a sweet and natural way, nothing competitive or lustful.

But I overstood where he was coming from. In music we all strive to be the best and "bring it" as they say.

Some folks take that further thinking its about them. My friends, its
The Most High  that graced you with being able to be in front of his crowds.
That is true vibeful blessings, for not everyone enjoys that feeling of the audience
and the energy they can give a performer.

That is why it is important to give excellence to all. Then the true deeply resonant human vibes which is the foundation of reggae. To sooth the world with that sweet musical hug.

No one owns a crowd or a city or a town or a country. All belongs to The
Most High One God. Always remember that. Togetherness and Inity is the vision and goal of it is reggae.

Ego has no part in that equation. As they say a band of sticks is stronger than a single stick, and can do so very much more. That is how all the artist in the reggae
genre should be.

If not we will lose not only in vibrations but the mission that was set forth will not be completed. And that cannot happen for the world needs reggae in its pure and unique vibrance to keep that irie balance... to keep it steady,to keep it cool, to keep it together my friends

Till next month when I again have the pleasure of vibing with you all my friends, I wish you and your families good health and happy times. For those of you who like myself have elderly parents,do not forget to honor them and spend time enjoying each others company. Family is a sacred and special love.

Play reggae music every day and let urself be carried by the heartbeat rhythms

Peace In

U absolutely right Najashi.... Man shouldn't 4get his roots, and his talents come from his roots basically meaning that God made us and gave us our gifts. If you make it to the top it is because you are blessed with drive, talent and opportunity all of which have been given to you... therefore there shouldn't be anything to argue and fight about... if that is appreciated there shouldn't be a need for discord.
If you allow the ego free reign it will take over and because it only knows how to feed itself it will overeat and destruction will follow... 'pride comes b4 a fall.'
What's with the women anyway???...more than enough to go round...lol lol
