Ok folks,
As I have already given a decent review about the venue itself, Buckaroos rocks!!
I think Ill move on to the actual show. Things went pretty well this time around, anyone that was there the last time knows about the electrical problems that the club had. So that was awesome.
The night started out with a local band in the Licking county area called CAMSHAFT.
The band consists of Braden on vocals, Damien on bass, Mark on guitars, and CRASH on drums. They played eight tunes, all originals, which is brownie points for me, cause it takes a little more to do your own stuff. Now I think that the band itself is really pretty good, I also think that that vocals could use a bit more power, he has a good stage presence but needs a little bit more in his output, all of which comes from experience, and would improve with time.
With songs like Run for your Guns and Even after Days I think that they have a good deal of potential. If you happen to be around Columbus on August 5th they will be playing at The Newport Music Hall as one of the opening acts for 13th Borne. If youd like more information about the show go here and get it, http://www.promowestlive.com/site/html/index.php
Moving on to the next band that graced the stage, it was TOPLESS, bringing in their usual crowd of fans. This band I got to see a bit of the last time we where at Buckaroos and Ill say it again, they have a tightness that will get them where they need to go. Leading up the crew on vocals was Michel Gleckler, Dusty McCoy on guitars, Ryan Brownfield on bass (aka Sgt. Stick), and Jerry Tolliver (aka T-Cup). They played four originals and two covers. As I said before Im an originals kinda girl, and the covers they played just werent my thing.
Other than that I think they gave it all and got some back. They are going to be really far out of their usual range of playing spots coming up on August 20th where they will be playing in Detroit, for the August, 20 2006 at The Shelter "Bodog battle of the bands" round 2 : 431 E Congress St, Detroit, MI 48201
Cost: 10-15. you can check this on their Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/toplessband
Beer is Good, Beer is Good, Beer Is Good and Stuff!!!
Ok I have that out of my system now. That is one of the side effects of watching the band Psychostick. You find your self talking about the greatness of beer and your car being a piece of sh*t. which for me is all good. I first heard about these guys through Jim, one of the other Band Stalkers here, after talking with Jimmy from Indorphine about them, I of course had to hunt them down and see what my ears had in store for them. Needless to say I was really surprised and happy about what I heard. so do your selves a favor and go there now, you can come back and finish reading its ok, I understand.

These guys were electric. Lots of stage presence and it just made you want to rock out!!
With the assorted costumes and gear, its a visual delight as well as a treat to the ears. The song that impressed me the most really is Two Ton Paperweight I love this song, I dont think I have ever met anyone who didnt feel this way about a car at one point in their life. Another one that they didnt play but I heard on their demo was called Prozac Milkshake this one really shows of the melodic harmonies that these guys can do. Still touched with the comedy that is their style, I think that it is one to be heard! So every one go out get their cd which will be in stores on September 12th or if you happen to catch a show, buy one from the band! They would be happy to sell it to ya! Ok now for some shameless promoting, because Im pushy like that & these guys are running with my boyz Indorphine, and Bobaflex!

There youve been sticked!!
Now on to Indorphine!
I have been completely obsessive about this band. I cant help it, I listen and it makes me smile. I had a chance to see them at the Alrosa Villa earlier in the year. Which was a great show, but at the time I didnt know the music. We picked up a cd that night and jammed the whole three hours home and Ive had it in my player off and on ever since.
Now I had been looking forward to this show for a week, it was like getting told you had a new Chrysler Crossfire, but you couldnt have the keys for a week! I was so ready by the time the show came, it was unreal! By the way If anyone wants to give me one, I want it in charcoal grey with black piping down the sides oh I know keep dreaming!
Anyway back to the band, Indorphine. How to describe them, well I think the best way to do it is this. Be aware that when you go see them play live, you will never be the same. It was so alive and in your face. It charged you up just being in the same space as these guys. It completely rocked. Jimmy Grant out front for vocals, Tanner Owings up on bass and does some lead vocals as well on a few songs, while Jimmy plays bass. Everett Sailor on drums, Buddy Fischel on guitars, and Adam Philips winding out the bunch.
I think all of us Band Stalkers wanted to see these guys, especially our Jr. Stalker Wolfboy. He was told on the night of the cancel that he could get up on stage and rock out with the guys. Well I don think I heard anything else out of him for the rest of the week. They rocked and as promised he rocked too! With stuff like Krucafried Chicken and Spaghetti on the menu it was sure to be a blast! Tanner gave us some Kingdoms Fall and Buddy even grabbed the mic for a spell. I have not seen so much mic swapping since I first started to listen to and go see Bobaflex! This band blows me away every time I see them or even hear them. So go out BUY the Album!!! Glow Sticks for Clubbing Baby Seals, in stores now! So to finish that off, I love them! So go see them, its well worth it!
Heres link to see them!

And on to the Headliner..BOBAFLEX!!!!!!
I have seen these guys play 3 times, and Jim has seen them at least 6. I have watched the crowds get bigger, and sometimes they are small, but they always rock. The crowd was small at Buckaroos, but I liked it that way, it gave me a chance to have a more enjoyment of the show. I didnt have to compete for floor space, or table space. I was able to see everyone, and not have some guy in front of me thats at least three feet wide and seven feet tall, which made for a great show! By the time they had rolled through the usual set and two encores, I had sweat dripping from my pigtails! They played some of my favorite songs. Rescue You Bright Red Violent Sex Guns A Blazin. The crowd although small was on fire! The whole place was rocking out and having a good time! I would have to say that this show was the best one that I had seen with them! It was one of those up close and personal kind of shows. I sit here and think about what else I can say about this show.. but I cant. It Was A Great Fracking show!!!! I have lots of pictures great memories and the want and need to see them again. This was high energy music at its best!
And now for the last little bit of shameless promotion here!!! BOBAFLEX!!!!
