I am happy to announce that I've been given a monthly night at Sonotheque (quite possibly the best venue in the midwest) to do, well, whatever I please. Instead of having 5 DJs back to back like most events, I'll be trying something new every single time and bringing in new talent from around the globe. I've decided to call it "THEFIRSTTUESDAY". The capital letters are very important, because they are bigger than small letters.

On April 7th, I'll be diving into the frying pan by scoring Cuaron's sexually awkward classic, Y Tu Mamá También with my 2 most favoritest musicians, Greg Hirte and Chihsuan Yang. It will be improvisational and I'm very nervous.
So even if this experiment is a train wreck, I've flown out another one of my favorite musicians, Reid Dunn...aka Wisp, Rephlex Record's (yeah, Aphex Twin's label, duh) newest serving, to play his first live set ever in Chicago.

Another thing I'm happy about...this night is FREE. No cover. It's on me. Think of it as your bailout, since you have nothing better to do on a Tuesday than watching House anyway.

The screening is at 9:30pm sharp, but it is advised to show up by 9pm to get a good spot.
