The 10,000th use of "Oops, I did it again" as a punchline in a Britney Spears story took place today.
For his use of the song title in a story about Spears in his column while writing about the pop star's recent exploits in a tatoo parlor and shaving her head, even though it makes no sense to use the line, Harold King of the Sacramento Gazette won a gift basket and lauditory kudos.
"I thought I was being clever," King said.
