DC Urban LifeStyle Magazine Post Election Day Coverage
November 5, 2008 - At 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, crowds of people were still in front of the White House letting (former) president Bush know his services are no longer needed in Washington, D.C.
Amid chants of "Pack your sh*t"; "Yes We Can"; "Obama, Obama, Obama"; and "Yes We Did!", thousands were using their right of free speech to express their excitement and approval over the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States of America.
"I'm so happy", shouted one Obama supporter.
"If you still question the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer", said Obama in his victory speech at Grant Park in his home town of Chicago, Illinois.
