It has been a while since I've posted any blogs on MySpace, so I thought now was the perfect time to do so, to catch everyone up on all things Theatre Downtown.:
The History BoysWe completed our run of
The History Boys in March and the show was a great success. We had enthusiastic crowds and our experience at the Levite Jewish Community Center was one of the best we've had yet, anywhere! I had a great time with the show and am proud of the show, but it was such a daunting challenge that I can only be glad it's over. It was, by far, the most challenging show I have directed, but I thank an amazing cast and crew for the experience!
The Rest of This SeasonWe have
Essential Self-Defense coming up May 14-30 at BAO and I am going to be playing the role of Isaak Glinka. This is a show J.J. & I have been wanting to do for a while now and just when we thought it might not make it onto this season we found a way to make it happen. A terrific cast has been assembled and we hope you'll come out and support the production!
All the remaining shows for this season have been cast. Our next rounds of auditions will be in the late-Summer, so stay tuned for those. We are in the process of space hunting and hope to be in our own space in the near future. We have a fantastic board of directors working hard to help make it happen.
