Interesting. And yes, it doesn't seem like that much of a charity if everything you wrote is even fairly accurate. That letter they sent in reply was atrocious. I generally think of people who would work for charitable foundations to be educated, and this person certainly didn't do anything to give that impression.

The Foundation doesn't show up on any of the Charity watchdog lists as of yet that I could find. I just checked a few sites.

It is always important to find out how much of the money that you donate to any group is actually getting to the cause you want to support.

And to make sure that the cause is accuarately described.

A few years back, I went to a convention here in Oregon about Anti Hate Crimes. One of the info classes I took was on Native American issues, and it was fascinating what various racist groups would do to raise money. They would form groups with names that sounded like Ecological groups or local farmers groups, but would use the money to further their own racist agendas that had nothing to do with ecology or farms. Like bus a bunch of racists to an Indian Salmon smoking ceremony and stand around yelling "Wood Nigger" ( a common racist slang form for Native Americans) at the people there. I saw a film of this.

So, be careful who you give your money to, or you might be paying for something completely unlike what you thought you were.

Or someone might just be pocketing your money.
