Once again God took control over this past week and the Keeping It Real Week was a major success.  The week started out with Mt. Calvary's CIIC - Committed 2 Christ Youth Choir hosting the 3-day revival.  Not only did the youth show up in attendance, but they showed up with the Holy Spirit.  Thanks to Rev. Chris Johnson, all the young people and adults were truely blessed.  Rev. Johnson reached our youth at their level.  He had everyone in the building participating.  His sermons Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night were extremely powerful and to the point.  There were more than 20 young people who came up to be saved, 4 of which were coming to be baptized.  He did as the week's theme said and Kept It Real.  Mt. Calvary was truely blessed.

On Friday night at the Youth Pavilion, Rev. Anderson put together a youth retreat.  The Lord blessed us again and sent over 200 young people to attend this event.  Tammy Richardson spoke and gave a powerful testimony on how she was strung out on drugs, living on the streets and almost died but by the grace of God, she is here today healthy and spreading the message.  Old Head, a Hip-Hop gospel artist bless us with song and testimony.  The kids camped out and on Saturday there was a softball game.  Unfortunately I was in class on Saturday morning and didn't get to attend the game.

Then on Sunday morning, Mt. Calvary M.B. Church was blessed on the final day of the Keeping It Real week with Rev. Carter starting it off speaking to the adults about statistics in our jail.  He is a Sheriff's deputy and told us parents simply that he did not want to see our kids in jail and gave tips and advice on how to avoid it.  He kept it real.  Then Rev. Eric, a.k.a Old Head, brought the message for the morning service and boy how powerful and straight forward it was.  Although church service was the longest in my lifetime for Mt. Calvary, I was really blessed with his message.   During the invitation, 3 guys come up to be saved, rededicate their lives and 1 to be baptized.  He also had prayer for anyone and he did each prayer individual.

This is what God has allowed me to witness and attend this week and I am glad I had the chance to do so.  This week has been so good for me because Emanuel is feeling great, so being in church this week has given me a chance to Thank God for bringing him out of a grim situation.

Thanks to everyone who has asked about him and those who have prayed for his recovery.  Thanks to my family, I love you all even though I may not say it.  Thanks to my MySpace family and friends, I hope you like my blogs because I only write them when God gives me something to right about.

God Bless Everyone and Their Families......Peace and GoodNight!
