Wow.  Here I am posting my first blog in a looooong time, and all of a sudden, the normaly quaint net cafe which I’m at explodes into a battle royale of gang violence (seriously).  Of course, the guy getting jumped is a friend/co-worker/innocent guy, so I pretty much had to stop what I was doing, get up, walk a couple of feet, and then break up the damned thing.  The things that interrupt my life, I tell you.  Fortunately, the thugs must have smelled my dominance... they stopped throwing as soon as I uttered my all mighty command, "stop it guys, that ain’t cool".  Seriously, this is how the world ends, not with a bang, or a whimper, but in a tornado of clueless assholes.

Before all that went down, I was about to blog about the totally awesome WEEN show which happened monday.  It’s kinda weird since I’ve been a ween fan for 16 years, and in that time I’ve probably met three other people who even know who Ween are.  Well apparently, I don’t get out enough because Pipeline cafe was packed... although it was mostly hippies and frumpy white girls with bad posture.  Even though, it seems like the times have finally caught up with the irreverent, eclectic sound of  Ween.  Anyway, they rocked it for over four hours, with half-hour long versions of several tunes, including "l.m.l.y.p.", and "my own bare hands"  (FYI- I’m the guy responsible for transcribing the bass tab for l.m.l.y.p., and giving it to the world via Ween’s official tab site).  If you weren’t there... I’m sorry for you.
