Yet another booze riddled party was had in March,I personally blame the wild Irish Garage freaks THE REVELLIONS for the hangover that eventually appeared on Monday morning!!! The band ripped up the joint with a farfisa organ and fuzz fuelled set of originals and choice covers with intense wild front man Ali, contorting himself around the mic like a fella possessed! These guys certainly lived up to their ever growing reputation! Look out for their debut lp out this summer!
Our fave glamourous tease temptress MISS RUBY FORTUNE sent the temperature rising to boiling point with two eye popping routines,'Rock & Roll Ruby' and 'The Return Of Anna Nicole Smith'. The latter saw the ressurected corpse of the famous gold digger returning to the stage of the Magnet to look for any feeble millionaires with cash to spare!
THE CUBICAL rounded off the party with a hail of swirling intricate guitar lines,blasting harmonica's a gravel voiced blues man and superb rythmic patterns comin on like Captain Beefheart's Magic Band circa 'Safe As Milk' era,yep that good!!! And yes, these guys are from St Helens too.....amazing!!!
