1) A presentation?
Oi! Strike Records came up to support my own band records, Colonna Infame Skinheads. Then it ended up being a real label with 13 releases so far and a couple more to come out these days. I started in 1998 approximately, with a LP, then a plethora of 7" and then only cd's. It's due to my passion for oi! music even if I cannot be considered a skinhead 100%...

2) How many productions have you done ?
Of which one are you proudest?
If you had to change one or not produce one, which one would it be?

As said before 13 and a couple coming out soon. That's maybe the most prolific real punk oi! label in Italy forever, what a guinness! Probably I do like the cd's the most as in the last years I ended up being lazy and going on just for the digital formats. Duap and Raptus are pretty good, not to mention Colonna Infame that was my little baby... Probably Razzapparte 7" were a bit immature but guys of the band was friends so it went that way. Anyway  they improved alot and watch out for their cd out some day on their label...

3) In France, we can know many italian bands with your label, how do you do to export so good your productions?
Really, I do not think Oi! Strike is pretty popular outside of Italy, anyway I used to trade with some honest guys around as Attentat Sonoire, Bord de Seine and most,I've this crucial guy, Une Vie Pour Rien chief editor, that's distributing Oi! Strike stuff around Paris. My stuff has a do it yourseld distribution , no major stuff as we're too little. If you are interested in our stuff we've a decent mailorder, that's all!

4) Why is ''Vanilla Muffins'' (sweizh) is on oi! Strike? How did you contact them?
They know I was a fan so they phoned me and we aggreed on this 7" which was a single for their lp, two awesome tracks in the classical Vannilla sugar oi! style. Nice buddies. A friends of mine here let them fly from Switz for a couple of gigs in Rome and they confirmed to be nice boys.

5) Same question for ''The Templars'' (USA) ?
They used to be friend with the singer from the Devilskins (ita/swi) which happened to be friend of mine. So he offered to do this split and we went on for that great 7" with Alteau cover too! It was simple.

6) Are there many bands in Italy right now? How is the scene over there? I went in Cremona region in 2000 and the organizator of a SHARp show over there told me that there are many fascists there. What do you think about it? How long now have you been in the scene and what are your best remembers? As most of the people have you any regrets of the past or do you think it's better now?
Yes i think there are a big amount of bands around. Not that they're all nice and good but anyway... the last good thing I really like from Italy was Bloodline that came out from the ashes of Billiboy & La Sua Banda ( a cd on helen of Oi! france too) . A couple of bands happen to big pretty big like Los Fastidios and KK, with hundred people at their shows. I really think the scene grew up in the last 12 years.
There are fascists everywhere. But if we'd be all the same probably we start be bored so it's also ok to have an enemy sometimes. If you wonder I'm pretty leftist but I do like music more than politics so I just consider myself anti-racist and have some deeper eco-friendly insterests...

I'm 30 now, and started hanging around in 88/89 in the hc punk scene here in Rome. Old gigs were really good as Youth Of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Slapshot, or the first time i saw Nabat in 94, it was a sort of heartattack.I used to think how good it was yesterday, but i learnt that I must do care more of the present for real. Maybe I should have been more social towards people and probably bought 2 of each records so that i could be Ebay king... Yesterday it was way more spontaneous, now it's far away more organized and more "crowded" so in some way it's better now!

7) Italy still seems to be in religion (Vatican). What's your opinion about it? Don't you think that it's not good for Italy's devlopment?
It's a big joke. There are some characteristic italian sentences about that translated could make a sense like this: pray well and go bad, more or less. Sure we are a bit of obsessed but it doesn't matter that much. Italians do like most some more honorable values as money, family, the house(es), car. So as long as all these things go... you know. Italians are 3rd world in their minds, totally old style minded but not because of the church; mostly because Italy is pretty cut from the rest of Europe... I do not care, I'm used to live here and even if I'm quite different I probably wouldn't succeed in living somewhere else; but if you mind, I do not ike that much Italians, and to be honest, i do not like that much people...

8)How did you get the idea of ''oi ! stike sampler''? Why did you choose to give 2 or 3 titles to 10 bands whereas you coulg give only one to 26 bands to make them become known?
Oi! Strike sampler is a collection of 5 sold out Oi! Strike 7"'s ep's. Since a cd have more lenght I even asked some friendly bands to join the compilation with a couple of songs each and then it went.

9) What are the other italian labels that you talk about in oi! Strike sampler? How many are they and who are they?
well in the 80's we only had CAS records, run by Nabat guys who issued all nabat's on vynil (2 ep's and a lp) two compilations (7" and lp) and the 7" of Basta. Then Marco of KK fame issued some records here and there sometimes. Most of the bands around just issued their on records and stop.
After a bunch of years there are some interesting labels as Brutus,
Anfibio, KOB (that does some ska, silly punk too) and a few others.

10) You were in ''Colonna Infame Skinhead''.
Why did you stop? How many shows did you do? How long did you play?

C.I.S. started in 1996 and lasted for a demo, a cd: until 1997, one year. Then we came from the beyond in 99 with two old zombies and two new creatures, recorded 4 songs (split ep with Duap and for some compilations), made 30-40 gigs and then split up again in december 18 2001. I guess in our total life we made probably 50 gigs, and left 4000 records around.

11) What are your plans?
The cd of Devilskins (ita/switz) is coming out now. The Rough (torino 80's legend) will be out within a couple of months. Then my band cd,The 80's , will follown in mid of the year. Colonna Infame new discography will be issued by Brutus Records someday.

12) Any conclusion…
Thanx to you for your interest in the label and our activity!
Be Yourself, Thats all!
