Hi,
So the San Miguel del Bala album is now available for download in 2 formats, a 128kbs quick download version and a 320kbs higher quality download. I hope people will go for the 320kbs version as it does sound a lot better but as its on Rapidshare at the moment and they have a capped download speed (unless one pays an extra fee to them) I thought it best to put up a quick download version as well.
Also for the moment the $5 donation is being directed to my personal paypal and I will be forwarding this money onto the San Miguel del Bala trust in lump sums once a month. (Im hoping they will get their own paypal site soon and can take this over from me).
So all you have to do is visit the
www.pseudoarcana.com/current.htm website and click on the paypal buy now button there. This will take you to a page where you can pay either by paypal or creditcard. I in turn will get a message in my inbox and then forward you the download links for the album.
The album also comes with the following txt document listing all sound sources used in its recording.
In September and October of 2009 New Zealand sound artist Antony Milton lived and worked with the San Miguel del Bala community to produce a sound work representitive of the jungle and community. The goal was to create a piece that encapsulated in sound the experience of spending some days in this beautiful part of Bolivia, this beautiful part of the world.
Sounds and music were collected at the San Miguel del Bala eco-lodge, at the nearby village of the same name, and during a spectacular 3 day visit to the Madidi National Park.
For more information about the San Miguel del Bala project, a Conservation International affiliated and indigenous managed trust please visit

Information about the adventures experienced whilst recording this are on my previous blog...
In other news Peter Wrights new label Distant Bombs has just released a lathecut 10 inch of his and my first collaborative album. This was recorded in Christchuch in March this year just prior to my departure for Sth America. I..ve only heard it the once but I recall it as being pretty damn good actually (if I may say so meself...).
Heres Peters blurb about this
Strangely, despite knowing each other for some 10 years or more, releasing recordings on each other's labels and touring together in 2006, Antony Milton and Peter Wright have never recorded together until now. With Antony's year-long hiatus in South America looming it was decided to remedy this situation with a quickfire recording session at the Christchurch home of a mutual friend, David Khan. The resulting 3 hours of jamming was edited and mixed by PW the next day and the final swampy dirge was then delivered by hand to Peter King at his Mt. Somers workshop to be lovingly cut as a 10" lathe.
The results are delightfully dirty with moments of melody and hushed vocals breaking through like the rays of the sun shining on a mountain shrouded in black storm clouds.

http://distantbombs.blogspot.com/2009/07/ampw.htmlOK. Cheers. In Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, today- a crazy black market town on the border with both Argentina and Brazil (I wish I had an empty pack for all the electronic and musical goodies- they even have compact little 5 at a time cassette duplicators for sale!), but we leave for Argentina proper tomorrow. I have some shows in Buenos Aires next week so come along if you are there! Otherwise I will have a proper update of recent adventures soon.
