So another year is coming to an end for the old Sultans of sl00t, and what a year it was.
We
started the year in a very different place then where were are now. We
said a to bid farewell to a band member but quickly filled the vacant
slot with a returning Christ Doucette.

With Douce rejoining
the band we felt the time was right to begin recording our first full
length. Two months after we started we were left with To Punish And
Enslave, 10 songs of tr00 maritime sl00t metal, teaming with catchy
licks, greazy breaks, and the rage of 100,000,000,000 15 yer old girls
who just got turned down for the back to school dance. Once we finished
the album we were pleased to announce that we had signed a deal with,
Maritime based, Diminished Fifth Records. The deal allowed us to get
our music out there to many more people then we could alone. We also
appeared with a number of awesome east coast acts on Diminished Fifth
Records' "The Music of Artisanship and War: VOL II".

December
12th we released the album at a show in Summerside at GEN XX. There is
no other venue, all ages or 19+, that I would have rather released the
album at. The crowd in Summerside has always been good to us and we do
all we can to give them the best we can give. IN sad news those crazy
Summerside kids bought out the rest of our shirts so Uigg swag is
temporary limited to buttons and stickers. We're looking at doing
another run of shirts really soon, possibly with a different design.
We'll be sure to let you know when we have the next run of tee's.

Thanks
to many of you reading this the release of To Punish and Enslave has
gotten off to a great start. We are currently selling the cd at shows
and it's also available at CD Plus in Charlottetown for $10.99.

In
the new year the album will be available on iTunes, CD Baby, and
through Code7 in the UK. It will also be available where ever you see
the Diminished Fifth Records merch table at shows, and hopefully a few
other music stores around the Maritimes.

We're looking to head off Island early in the year so keep an eye out for that, and we've got a few shows left in us for 2008.
We're thrilled to be playing Awesomefest III at the BIS this Saturday Dec 27th.
