Who Gives Kudos:

Wednesday, August 26, 2009
Hi all!

I wanted to mention two interesting radio shows where my 2 of my songs are currently featured.  Hope you can tune in!  Radio stations (both Internet and terrestrial) that play INDIE music are critical for artists like myself and deserve our support, as they are usually broadcast MUCH more out of the LOVE of the music than they are profit driven!).

The first is show where one of my songs is featured is
The Worldwide Indie Music Top-20 Countdown Show
, edition 27, which is part of the FAME GAMES program airing Monday thru Friday on the ABC/CitadelMedia radio network.  Fame Games airs to over 1 million listeners on land in the South of Spain and to over 2,000,000 internationally on the web! The competition to get on this show is very strong and your song has to have been a finalist song in one of their ongoing competitions based on listener votes, reviews and industry scores.  The song of mine that made the top 20 Global Breakthrough Chart of the Worldwide Indie Music Top-20 Countdown show is "MILLION MILES", track one off my current album, "You Like It Clean".   This show can be played ON DEMAND in two parts.

Part 1: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN
(This is the section which features songs 20 - 11 on the chart - hear my song and comments about it in this part of the show).

Part 2: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN
This part features a Carrie Underwood song, the Tony Cowell Factor (Tony is the infamous American Idol judge Simon Cowell's brother) and the songs at the top of the chart from 10 - 1).

Since the show was recorded, "MILLION MILES" has actually risen on the chart two places thanks to YOUR VOTES!!  Thanks, everyone... please continue to vote for it to help it stay on this chart and hopefully go higher!:

If you like my song "THIS IS YOUR LIFE", it's a contender in the competitions to get on this global radio chart as well: CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR "THIS IS YOUR LIFE"

THANK YOU!!  :-)

The 2nd cool radio feature I wanted to mention is that my cover of the Pat Benatar classic "We Belong" (featuring superstar guitarist Brian May of QUEEN) has been selected to air on
Women Of Substance radio channel's new show:

WE'VE GOT IT COVERED
This show features all female Indie artists doing cover songs.  Unlike the Fame Games show, this one is not an on demand show.  It will begin airing Wednesday, August 26 at noon-3 PM Pacific (3-6 PM Eastern) and will air every Wed., Saturday and Sunday at that time for the next 6 weeks. From the looks of the playlist below, it's going to be a GREAT show and I am very pleased to have had my cover version selected.  To tune into the show at the stated time, please click to this page:

well lynn that is awesome news  to have 2 of your many realistically  Grammy caliber songs airing on these music radio outlets .. and i use the term "Grammy caliber " only out of the benchmark it has become for determining the highest echelon of songwriting  in this industry .. well aware of the indie nature of your music and the radio airtime it's given .. it's really an honor to have your music being played out of a love for music  which the folks choosing to put you on  the airwaves know deep down in their  hearts and soul ..you have honestly written performed and recorded well  .. it reminds me of when Danny Gatton was trying to get airplay .and a major record deal .. .everyone who heard him and his music ..KNEW he was  at the highest echelon .yet he would be denied any comprehensive airplay  by the mainstream .. he would toil in the underground of the airwaves and leave an indelible masters mark there for the majority of his life . although completely different in musical approach .. the two of you are bonded in the quality of your efforts in much the same way .. there really is no difference between the so called famous commercially successful music and your music .in fact you are  most likely better than most of it and the people who are not giving you airplay and i mean places like cirrus, xm radio , and any of the thousands of commercial terrestrial stations across the board are really missing out because even though it's written from a  love of songwriting , your  music is a WINNER  in ALL aspects .. and for those "bean counters " i say to you.. lynn's  music  IS money in the bank !  you can bet the farm on that !  ...and you so called "stars" out there  should have a path well worn to her doorstep and feel privileged to have music written for you by her !  so ...at any rate ..congratulations on your latest standings on the airwaves and best of all wishes for continued success  ! keep on truckin' lynn
