Golden Acrylic Lecture
Featuring new Golden Digital Grounds and OPEN Acrylics
Saturday • October 4 • 10am-Noon
Denver Store • FREE!
No registration required • Limited seating available on a first-come basis
This fast-paced, technically informative event will introduce you to two exciting new products: Digital Grounds and OPEN Acrylics.
OPEN stays wet on your palette for days and handles beautifully for slower, wet into wet applications and blending. The perfect paint for plein air painting as it stays wet just like oils! We will complete several exercises so students come away with a solid working knowledge of these paints. Great for people wanting to switch from oils, to get away from the solvents yet retain the slow dry time of oils. OPEN is still a water-based acrylic!
Golden's Digital Grounds allow you to print images on a multitude of flat surfaces: non-porous papers, acetate, acrylic skins, and even aluminum foil! We will cover some of the technical challenges of working with inkjet printers and explore ideas for incorporating these images into collage and painterly applications.
All participants receive free samples, product guides and technical sheets.
Visit www.goldenpaints.com for more information on all their products.
About the Presenter:

Golden Working Artist Mary Morrison lives and works in Denver, Colorado. She received her degree in Art from Colorado State University and has worked full-time painting, teaching and exhibiting art for the past 18 years. Her paintings incorporate lush, textural elements with complex, vibrant colorations. The pieces are mixed-media on panel, mostly acrylics with gouache and casein. She uses collage, dripped lines, transfers prints and hand-carved stamps in building the painting. Morrison's paintings have been collected by the State of Colorado's Art in Public Places Program as well as many private and corporate collections.
