I love Calvin's dad, he was always my favorite too. I always use his excuse when others don't understand my motivations for doing things:

I love Calvin and Hobbes. Usually Jeff and I answer Naomi's questions with a concise and ACCURATE answer. And yes, that includes where babies come from and how they get there. None of that stork or cabbage patch nonsense around here. Some parents, and even our own family are horrified that we're so frank, but we stand by our beliefs. On the other hand...we have been known to give silly answers, especially when she repeats a questions she already knows the answer to. She's started joining in now and with a twinkle in her eye, enjoys coming up with even taller tales.
