okay okay we recorded for John Kennedy’s show and it was alot of
fun. except for when i got pissed off at Virgil for rushing me but in
the end i let my anger help deliver a killer vocal on Dance Move Shake.
Me and Virg laughed after. the thing with being in a band full of boys
is that you get bossed around a bit but then they feel bad and give me
love. so be it. I love the band so i take it like family. You gotta get
over shit quick so you can get the work done. Plus i love the boys so
there you go.
Now we didn’t get to meet John Kennedy which i thought was really
odd. When we played on Mark Lamarr’s show he was there and it made it
special. I don’t know why and i didn’t ask if he does all his shows
like that but i guess that’s his thing. have a band play and then he
talks about them as he plays the show. i think it’s his way of getting
live recordings for his archive and maybe he sells them on ebay.
whatever the case may be it was an opportunity that most bands would
love to have. We know that so we kicked ass and even had Nick come in
on trumpet too so it was a very full KM’s session.
I was told by Chris the engineer, who was really nice by the way,
that the session will play on air sometime in oct. when the album is
released so when i know more i will let you know. I’ll probably twitter
as i listen to the show. so stay tuned all funk lovers.
love KK
