Real quick...
Anson had to have "emergency" surgery on Friday morning around 2am for a staph infection in his right butt cheek. They had to make three incisions to get all the nasty stuff out. It's not pretty. We were in the hosiptal once Wednesday morning (ER), then from Thrusday night (ER) until Sunday afternoon. We're all really glad to be home. I'm having to take care of the wounds... not cool. They are just open holes so that he can heal from the inside out. Also some antibiotics to keep the infection from coming back. He's fine. Up and moving around again. He does have the cutest little Gangster Lean when he sits now though!!
If you have kids... or are going to... PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH STAPH!! It doens't matter how you take care of your kids, or what they play with/in. It will strike anyone. The hospital told us that the butt is the most common place to see staph in children. It looks like a little pimple at first and then gets a white head on it and just gets worse from there. Whatever you do ... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO POP IT!!! Usually some antibiotics and hot baths to drawl out the infection will suffice. Not all staph infections are treated the way Anson's was... but just know it is common.
Anyway, just wanted to let ya'll know what was up. All that's over with and now Trey is starting Paramedic school in the morning. Our lives could slow down any time now!!!
