Feel free to get intouch with us if you've got any questions about this. But here are the basics.
We'll need you to send uncompressed wav, aiff, or sd2 file(s) at the bit-rate and sample depth you've recorded them at. Typically this is 24-bit 44.1khz, but if you're not sure just ask your engineer.
It's best to make sure that the final mixes were done without any limiting or dithering on the mix bus. If you (or your engineer) mixes with a buss compressor that's fine - as long as it's used to tighten the mix, and not to make it louder. There shouldn't be any clipping in the final 2 track mix of any kind.
??For test master or single song submissions ftp is usually the easiest way to send the file. Upload it to your bands website server and send us the link, once we're done mastering the song we'll upload it to our own server so you can download the finished product, it's that easy. For full album or multiple song submissions mailing a data cd or dvd is typically the easiest way to send the song. Just mail the disc to:
FINE PRINT MASTERING 49 erie st Goshen, NY 10924
NOTE: When i get tracks, i master them as soon as i can, but as per policy i do not mail them out until i've received payment. That being said, the absolute fastest way to get your songs mastered is to mail a hard copy of the data cd along with payment. Make checks payable to Mike Kalajian. Thanks!
Make sure you include the name of the Artist and any contact infomation along with a mailed disc submission.
