Scarab-Blues presents :

Hard Blues & The Soul of A People

a live music & concert series

Saturday,   June 30, 2007,   from 7:00 PM until  10:00PM

SOPAC (South Orange Performing Arts Center)

Think blues is all about pain and sorrow? Well, think again. Scarab-Blues presents "Hard Blues & The Soul of A People", a very unique concert series cut from a very different kind of cloth – tightly woven with history and colored with  soul.

No pity parties here, Scarab-Blues celebrates FREEDOM through the music that has given birth to all American music – heartfelt, soul-filled blues. Chicago & Delta styled hard blues is the language, triumph over adversity is the lesson and the truth of life's reality is our education.

Come and get acquainted with the most unadulterated blues concert in the metropolitan area – featuring Harlem's own Queen of Soul, "Harlem Diva" LeeOlive Tucker. Rejoice, jump and holler with Harlem blues ambassador, Keith "The Captain" Gamble and experience the raw soul of Terra Blues' [NYC] resident bluesman, Junior Mack.

Tickets prices are $30 for adults, $20 for students w/ID and $10 for children under 12. You can purchase tickets over the phone at (973) 313-ARTS, through the internet at www.SOPACnow.org, or in person at the SOPAC box office,  located at 1 SOPAC Way  South Orange, NJ [beside the South Orange train station].
