As you know, since July 21, we have maintained a picket line at the offices of America's Next Top Model production company, Anisa Productions. In addition to striking, we have been fighting on many other fronts, including picketing ANTM casting calls across the country, telling ANTM advertisers and CW affiliate stations that we are fighting for basic rights, leafleting The Tyra Banks Show audiences, and telling Tyra fans everywhere that she doesn't support her own writers.
Now that work on the current season of ANTM is ending, we are adjusting tactics. While the strike and comprehensive campaign will continue, the daily picket at the ANTM office is temporarily on hold.
In two weeks we will go in front of the National Labor Relations Board and hopefully we will be allowed to have an election where we can vote to unionize. We will keep you posted as we have more information about our struggle.
Your support through all of this has been amazing. We cannot thank you enough for your emails, posts, and for coming down to our picket line. We know that when you are fans of the show, you are fans of it's writers!
Please, keep on supporting the cause. Remind anyone you know who watches ANTM that despite Tyra's image and the positive message of the show itself, it's a whole different story behind the scenes.
This fight is far from over, and we're all just getting started!
