Well, I'm sorry it's been a long time since I've posted to this blog.  I'm trying to think where to begin summarizing our activities...

In the past few months, we've been doing quite a bit of recording.  We spent several days recording piano parts at my parents' house.  Anton brought all his recording gear over and we set up shop in the living room and dining room for a few days.  Fortunately, my parents were on vacation in Italy at the time, otherwise we would have gotten in each other's way quite a bit.  The piano tracks are sounding great so far (and I think as much credit goes to Anton's skillful recording as it does to my playing)!

Since then, our biggest development is that we found a new bass player, Joe Therrien.  Joe is a Berklee graduate and he currently gives private bass and guitar lessons.  He also teaches at Beaver Country Day School, where Mike teaches Middle School History, which is how we found Joe.  We've practiced with him several times and our sound is really starting to gel.  (Our previous bass player, Dave Morris, moved to Florida, where he's been enjoying the beautiful weather.)  Now that we have a bass player again, we're planning some summer gigs.  I'll keep you posted on that front.

At the moment, we're busy with theatre-related commitments.  Joe is playing guitar for Rent at Beaver and I'm playing piano for The Music Man at Moses Brown School, where I teach.  But more gigging and recording is just around the horizon.
