If you didn't realize, this wee series of blogs features quotes from the "Baci" ("Kisses") candy. Sometimes I really like them (though not half as much as trying to pronounce them in Portuguese) and so I jot them down to remember. Then every once in a while, I post them here.

Quei guramenti, quei profumi, quei baci infiniti, rinaceranno.
Those promises, those perfumes, those infinite kisses, will all be born again.
-C. Baudelaire

Come ti vidi m'innamorai. E tu sorridi perché lo sai.
I loved you at first sight. And you smile because you know it.
- A. Boito

La passione tinge dei propri colori tutto ciò che tocca.
Passion colors everything it touches.
-B. Gracian

A che più amiamo, meno dire sappiamo.
We know the least about those we love the most.
-Proverbio Cinese

I don't think I have seen those in ages. Are they the chocolates? I like the last quote. I think the entire quote should read, "We know the least about those we love the most because it takes a lifetime of love as it grows more and more every day by the excitement that you feel looking into her eyes.

Esatto! ;) The chocolates! They're fun....like a fortune cookie but with chocolate. (And no fortune...) For a language nerd like me the four translations are almost as good as the chocolate.

Oh, and what I didn't mention is that "Dillo con un bacio" means "Say it with a kiss," and is their catchphrase. I think it's cute.

That is cute. I wish I was original enough to have come up with that catch phrase before they did.
:)

You? A language nerd? ... never! You are so clever. I wish I had that ability with languages that you have. Unfortunately I am stuck with English.
