I heard you say you want national healthcare by 2009 - you said after that if congress didn't find a way you were coming after their healthcare when you reach the white house. I have been reading your interviews and following up on your views. But how do I know you will keep your promises? Bush was going to fix social security right? Democrats reached office this year they were going to end the war right? healthcare, war, taxes, national debt, are all important factors to me - will we see change during your term if you make it to the white house? will you accomplish every promise that you make - trying isn't good enough - we need someone that can get it done. you could be that man.

Check out my videos on http://www.youtube.com/ArielleProd82 but my concern is with all the violence and genocides happening, and human rights being violated not just at home, but abroad. Where did our democracy go? With the patriot act, police men have the right to enforce the law, but that doesn't mean to abuse individuals in the process. There needs to be a protection against that, and if people fear the police, who will they turn to? background checks need to be on policemen, and women, and they need to be just as strict as in who they hire then that of service men for mental disorders.

There are also a lot of hate being spured in churches (condemnation) for the end of the world speech, and i want to know if you believe this, and if you believe we can change our own destiny, or if its already set in stone.

Florida has a lot of problems, and now that we are out of the primary; we won't be heard on the ballot. PLEASE visit, so you at least know our issues.

Thanks
Arielle

Is your reluctance to support legislation in favor of same-sex marriages based on a lack of exposure to and understanding of gay people? I can see no other moral or logical justification for not implementing gender-neutral marriage laws on a federal level asap. Why should a significant portion of the population be denied the same rights that the rest of the population enjoys based on (mis)interpretations of the bible and other religious teachings? Aren't we supposed to have a separation of church and state? Aren't we supposed to at least be treated as if we were created equal, regardless of our sexual orientation? I believe your heart is in the right place and that you would be a competent president, but I cannot vote for you until you shift your position on this matter. I as a gay person demand the same rights without compromise that the rest of the population enjoys. This includes everything from full marriage to immigration and inheritance rights.

I would like to see a restructured Child Support Enforcement. Do you intend to take the lack of collections seriously if you become president? How will you address this problem of children being neglected do to the lack of enforcement of Child Support? This is largely due to individual discretion by local support CSEA's and their lack of good judgement to use the laws that already exist to enforce collections. We do not need anymore law's. The law's that we have now are good. What we need is enforcement and the power removed from the local CSEA's and mandatory enforcements established.

In my opinion, what makes you stand out among the rest of the candidates for me is your promise to stand up and give everyday people like myself a voice. It's something that we desperately need right now. My family currently lives paycheck to paycheck and comes up short each and every month. We have to choose between health care and groceries even though we have insurance through my husband's employment and don't even get me started on the rising gas prices! It sickens me to hear that "big oil" gets fat bonuses and claim they use profits to research other means of fuel but we see NOTHING but rising prices and bigger profits for them year after year! The fact that you don't take their money is very important to me. And I've not heard or read anyone dispute that about you. I wish I could afford the extra money for your campaign but you'll definitely have my vote in Florida.

Please don't forget us when you get to Washington

Hi I'm Aaron I'm a young activist in San Jose i work with food not bombs, sbm, sjpc, and I'm president of s.a.w bhs.

how are you going to help the millions of American citizens who are starving on our streets (1/4 of wich are veterans)

i strongly hate how in our country today we are leaving people behind to die and no one gives a shit. in San Jose people have received fines from the police for feeding homeless people. is it illegal to help some one? and i know in palm beach it is illegal to feed homeless people!

The single biggest issue to me for this election is our broken healthcare system, and I am a 31 year healthy male. It is squeezing the middle-class to death and bankrupting way to many people. How can a healthcare system that alienates so many people be considered the best in the world? Should that not add into the equation somewhere? After I watched Sicko I must that I was brokenhearted at how our nation is treating the poor and sick though our healthcare sytem. Why is health not a fundamental right instead of a luxury?
When you say universal healthcare, do you truely mean universal as in what the rest of the healthier industrialized countries in the world have, or just some other form of a unsustainable freemarket based system? I fear our healthcare system, it is the single biggest reason I continue to fall backwards. I can cut back on driving, not that I should have to but I can cut back on eating, I can even bundle up more in the house and weather the storm by lowering my heating; but I can not go without insurance!

I am a film student and graduating this May from college, hoping and studying to become a screenwriter; However, with the WGA strike it seems my future career is in jeprody. What are your views on the strike and if the strike continues into your Presidency what do you plan to do about it? Conversely, if the strike reaches a conclusion before your term begins what will you do to ensure that this will not happen again? Please be honest, my future career depends on your answer.
Thank You!
