On Monday, April 27th, and Tuesday, April 28th, $5 COVER’s two documentary teams will premiere their work in collaboration with Indie Memphis at Malco's Studio on the Square, offering the first look at the real-life stories powering Craig Brewer's forthcoming MTV series, which premieres April 30th at the Malco Paradiso.

FLIPSIDE MEMPHIS, a collection of mini-docs from Live From Memphis and the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau, will have its premiere on Monday at 7pm, portraying the people and places that make Memphis unique. Get down with the jookin’ dancers from U-Dig Dance Academy. Smell the burning rubber of the Memphis Roller Derby. Chill with Scott Bomar at Electraphonic Recording. Experience the "Flipside" of Memphis!

$5 COVER AMPLIFIED, twelve intimate documentaries exploring the lives and passions of the musicians in $5 COVER, will have its premiere Tuesday at 7pm. Directed by Alan Spearman (of The Commercial Appeal and NOBODY) in collaboration with editor Eileen Meyer and co-producers John Hubbell and Andria Lisle, the short films feature everything from singer/songwriter Amy LaVere taking target practice in Texas and rapper Al Kapone giving life lessons to his son AJ, to a sunset motorcycle ride with Lucero’s Ben Nichols through Arkansas and a puppet-driven lesson in love and biology from Harlan T. Bobo.

Tickets for the Monday & Tuesday screenings are $5 each, benefiting Indie Memphis, and will be available at the Studio on the Square beginning at 3pm the day of the screening.*
