Recently I realized that more people and company's were coming to me for money than bringing me. So I had to analyze what I could do to cut my cost and keep my money in my pocket. First of all I have high speed Internet thru my cable company. For $29.00 a month more I can have unlimited local and long distance. I also have AOL, Geezz! I've come up with some solutions that might help you.
I will save $24.95 per month since AOL will be giving you the option to terminate you subscription with them without losing your Screen name or email account. Now I can get that unlimited phone service from my Internet cable company. OH wait! I just found out about SKYPE.com. It's a voice over Internet protocol that allows you to call anyone in the US for FREE! Discount rates any where else. Much less than Ma Bell charges so now I don't need the internet phone from the cable company. In addition If your friend in Tokyo has skype and you are anywhere else in the world you can talk to them as long as you want for free.
What about Instant Message? Skype has it for Skype users only but if you are like me and have Yahoo, AIM, IRC, ICQ and MSN There is a client called Trillian that can handle all of them at one time.
