If there were a way to detect this disease in the early stages, the survival rate and quality of life would be so much greater.” CAU was founded to nurture and support the Chicago singer/songwriter community through Podcast interviews/performances and live benefit concerts supporting Chicago based charities and foundations. CAU also educates the public and live venues on the cultural importance of supporting original music in Chicago. The Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, founded in 1999, serves as a catalyst for the early diagnosis and ultimate cure of pancreatic cancer by funding advanced medical research, public awareness initiatives, and educational programs. The Foundation also seeks to increase the quality and quantity of emotional and psychological support services for pancreatic cancer patients, and their families through partnerships and organizations that specialize in this type of care.Opening the evening's Concert is The Bill Porter Orchestra (www.billporterorchestra.com) Leader Bill Porter, twelve year veteran of The Frank Sinatra Orchestra, has assembled a band that represents all that is great about Big Band Music.
