Cameron Blake has found his musical
niche. The classically trained violinist turned
bandleader went from playing classical solos,
to finding a place in the Baltimore music
scene – thanks in part to his graduate studies
at the prestigious Peabody Conservatory.
Blake, who is originally from Rockford,
Mich., creates stories from his experiences
and travels, and prefers to play his new album
live. He manages to work a perfect balance
of folk, pop and rock with profound lyrics
that have a deeper meaning than your run of
the mill love song. Blake sings with passion
about life’s journeys and the perils of the
working class, and even employed 13 musicians
– including some from the Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra – to help out on the
album.
