You may have noticed a lack of activity on the Twilight Revival front recently – and we certainly appreciate the inquiries of "Where the hell have you guys been?" Truth is, it's been a busy time in Revival land, though you wouldn't know it from the show schedule.
We're ridiculously excited to announce that we've signed a recording deal with Mile Long Records and will have a full-length album ready for release in a couple months. Mile Long is an independent label owned by a long-time friend and fan. They're in it for all the right reasons and seem to really believe in the music we're making.
With their support, we've been hard at work in the studio putting together our second official release, first full-length LP and, most importantly, first studio recording with the "new" line-up. We're about halfway through and aren't too modest to say that it sounds pretty darn great so far.
The gigging hiatus allowed us to focus on a bunch of new ideas and do more writing in a couple months than we'd probably done in an entire year previously. The results is a fresh batch of songs that sound better than anything we've done before and cover more ground than even we expected.
Anyway, in a few months you can hear it for yourself and tell us whether that's true or if signing a record deal has neutered our indie cred beyond repair and created even more MP3 filler for your digital trash bin.
Either way, we want to thank you all for the support that has helped generate interest in what we're doing, it's what made the labels take notice. With your help, we're one step closer to our ever elusive goal of selling out.
We'll be in touch very soon with more details about the record and some live shows, including a good old-fashioned rock n' roll Release Party. Thanks for sticking with us. More to come . . .
