Me and my wife are both pretty happy with our dell laptops. So by default I would just buy the cheapest dell I can find running a good graphics card.

My desktop is now back up and running for gaming purposes too.  The gaming laptop is more for my wife.

While I like my desktop for gaming when I can devote my attention to it, pretty often we're hanging out in the living room, watching TV but also gaming on our laptops.
