Let me start with saying, that i hoped i would never have to type this blog and it is one of the hardest things that any of us in akissforjersey has ever had to do.
As many of you know, about five or six months ago our bus blew up headed to Toledo Ohio to start a tour, that was the breaking point.
We gave all we had to this band, all of our heart and soul. We worked as hard as we could to make quality music and loved doing so, however, as you can imagine, in this day and time the music scene is so overpopulated and so very hard to make it in.
With that being said, akissforjesey as a whole has decided it would be best to disbane. Akissforjersey will be no more.
We were given an awesome chance by Tommy Lacombe to make music and be part of a record label that really believed in us, we were family and we truly appreciate that.
We spent 5 years on the road touring the US, through good and bad times we still loved every second of it. We were able to share a stage with many bands that we are blessed to now call friends. Most of all we want to thank anyone who has every supported us, came to a show, bought a shirt or an album, and kept us in your prayers. You guys mean more to us that you can ever imagine and we love you so very much. Some of us will however continue to play music in different projects, so be looking out for those.
If you take anything at all away from akissforjersey, let it not be that we played good music or we had fun shows, but please let it be that despite our blunders and downfalls that we made this music for and awesome GOD that reins supreme. He is the only way we were able to make records, or tour the US. Jesus christ made hisself evident to us many times through our short musical careers and we sincerely hope that god has touch someones life through our music. As long as ONE single person has come to know christ through our music or has been helped through a tough time then the 6 years we were a band was ALL worth it.
We will be playing a final show at THE OASIS in winston-salem, north carolina, July 26th. Please spread the word and we hope to see all of our wonderful friends we have made all over the US come out. We want this to be a special night for you and us both.
