Who Gives Kudos:

Sunday, September 03, 2006

This myspace page, was created, to honor our greatest living country music legend.  He has bridged the gap between the rural beginnings of Country Music, and surivived to these days of modern country music.  He is a reminder, or what country music is and should be.

I have long been a fan of his, and i know that his name will be remembered along with the greats of country music including the likes of , Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Ernest Tubb, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams, Red Foley, Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Webb Pierce, Ray Price, Eddy Arnold, and Hank Snow, just to name a few...

I am sure that there are many country stars today who would love to have their names whispered in the same breath as these stars...

My goal on myspace is to connect with as many Jimmy Dickens fans as I can.

No doubt, hands down, without question, the best pure showman to grace the Opry stage. Not taking anything away from the contribution of Hank, or the mournful cry of George Jones, but Jimmy is the best showman I've seen at the Opry.

Thanks for putting up a page that honors the "Plain Ole Country Boy"! Tater not only bridges the generation gap of country music he also carries on the tradition of mixing jokes and song at the opry that would make Marty Robbins and Big Johnny Russell proud.

Little Jimmy Dickens hosted the Grand Ole Opry the first time I went there. We had to get the binoculars out on 'im, though. That was great though.
