Hark! You're about to listen to the most important (or not important) argument that's ever happened. Is rap the same as rock n' roll? Better yet, what is rock n' roll? We unsuccessfully attempt to answer these and other questions while being shot with pellets from an air gun. It's funny or something. Music by our former band, Teen Pregnancy!

I have written 2 emails about this already this evening and can't shut up just yet about it.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just the name of an establishment dedicated tipping their hat to important figures of the Recording Industry. This includes producers and the artists themselves.

the minutiae of focusing on the marketable branding/naming of "the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," and using "rap isn't rock n' roll" as an argument is ridiculous considering the inductees thus far and the actual goal of the establishment.

This muddies up the entire argument.

Leadbelly isn't Rock N Roll "by popular classification," none of the following artists are noted as Rock N' Roll.

Ray Charles
Rod Stewart
the Beach Boys (i'd hate to hear someone argue that)
Marvin Gaye
Simon & Garfunkle
Elton John
Bonnie Raitt
Leonard Cohen
The Supremes

all should be highly noted in a historical tribute to the music industry.
