We now have a unique opportunity, and we definitely want to capitalize.  We in the seriously progressive community have a new voice on the airwaves...
 
Overnight Underground on WMNF
Socially-conscious and politically provocative music, talk, and info on street actions and needed resources during these trying times.  Produced and hosted by peace and social justice advocates/activists including members of PDA (like me), St. Pete For Peace, The Refuge, and Code Pink.
 
The challenging news: it airs live Tuesday mornings, 1am-4am.  (A sign of the kind of committment we're willing to make to get the progressive message out).  But you can stream 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at http://www.wmnf.org/programs/329.  (Note: Unfortunately the webmaster at WMNF hasn't cleaned up the obvious problems with the page itself.  But you can stream there, and most importantly, DONATE.)
 
Just A Few Bucks Will Get Us There
The best way to insure that the progressive message is getting out to potentially millions of Tampa Bay residents -- and even more folks via the web -- is if we hit our goal during the WMNF fundraiser this week.  I know times are tough, but if everyone on this list just ponied up just $5-$10, we'd have more than enough.  But the unfortunate truth is not everyone will respond, so if you can give more than $10 you'll be covering a couple of your fellow progressives on this list.

Or, perhaps even better, call WMNF at 813-238-8001 during regular biz hours -- especially from 12-2 during their sustainable living/Rob Lorei show pitches -- let them know you love public affairs programming, and that you're making your donation in support of Overnight Underground.  Hopefully the show will get a mention on the air, that way.
 
The best way for us to get a more "listener friendly" time slot is for us to show that progressives will make the cash register humm.
