I swear I wasn't meant to be at work today. As the exit doors open in the back office to let fresh air in, the first gust of wind to enter the building howled at me as if it were attracting my attention to show me how beautiful today was. Now, I'm not one to be oblivious to beautiful things: e.g. women, music, women, a well displayed dinner plate, more music and more women (you catch my drift), but somehow the simplest beauty that life presented to me was briefly passed by.
Once I took in a deep breath to inhale the crisp scent of the morning, I asked myself why I'm at work and not taking advantage of today. Please don't misunderstand me, I very much enjoy my work, but realize that it was a clear and breezy 72˚ weather. Who hasn't thought of playing hooky from work? If no one though of finding a ways enjoy the day like we had here, something must be wrong…with you.
Unfortunately, being an adult, priorities had to be taken care of. But I was able to walk towards those doors and take glimpses of the outside every chance that I had. At the same time, with every glimpse taken, that same gust of wind beckoned me to leave work. Honestly, it was very tempting. Many-a-times I passed opportunities like these, and I'm sure you have as well. No doubt that there will be plenty days like today. The only question is; will we ever take notice of it?
Simplicity, almost always, left unnoticed. Appreciate it.
Love, L.I.F.E., Music Y'all!
