Hats off to the bus driver who picked me up by St Gabriels in Heaton at 3:02 this afternoon, one of the the happiest bus drivers I've ever encountered. all the way home, he regaled the (2) passengers with tuneful whistling and little bursts of song. At the BT Callcentre, he asked a lass for £4.50 for the three-stop journey to Longbenton shops: they laughed. Couldn't stop smiling - was so cheerful when I got off the bus, nearly got knocked over. How sweet it is.
