One in Ten and The New Gay kick off our new summer screening series with Jon Ginoli, founder of queer punk band "Pansy Division"

In conjunction with The New Gay, DC's newest internet sensation, we will screen a series of films over the next few months - all dedicated to the unsung heroes that have made the world a little better for all of us - young, old, gay, straight, bi or transgender.

Films will focus primarily on the contributions of musicians, artists, designers and authors, and will feature both self-identified gay artists and those that have chosen to embrace a more ambiguous sense of self.

First up: Jon Ginoli, co-founder and frontman for seminal pop-punk band Pansy Division has a new book, a documentary and a world tour to celebrate. What better way than to head to DC for a screening of "Pansy Division: Life in a Gay Rock Band", a musical performance and a book signing?

Join us at Source Theatre for this in-depth look at one of the queer movement's most celebrated bands. From their stint as beloved cult band to an opening act for Green Day, Pansy Division has gained fans and inspired others to pick up guitars. Withot them, it's safe to say that there'd be no Hidden Camera, no Antony and the Johnsons, heck.. probably no Rufus Wainwright.
This is probably the closest you will get to John outside of a bedroom , as the chance to be in such tight quarters with a living queer legend doesn't come along very often. We hope you come by and check it out.

Monday, April 20th
Film begins at 7:00
After the screening, there will be a performance by Ginoli and a book-signing/Q&A.
Admission: $10

Source Theatre is located at 1835 14th St. NW
