LOS ANGELES -- Keith Sweat's new CD Just Me (Atco/Rhino) makes an impressive debut landing at 10 on this week's Billboard Top 200 album chart and 2 on the R&B album chart. This is his highest charting album since 1998's Still In The Game.
Just Me has earned outstanding reviews from critics and fans alike. Vibe wrote, "Keith Sweat is R&B's mercurial marathon man," while Ebony exclaimed, "a good old-fashioned croon filled with admiration and boasts and passion and some begging." Essence.com recently featured Keith Sweat in their Flashback section, which got incredible response from his supportive fans. He will also be featured in Jet Magazine's Father's Day issue, on stands in early June.
"Suga Suga Suga," the first single, jumps back in to the Top 10 this week and second single "Butterscotch" featuring Athena Cage will go for adds on June 3. Fans can also download his exclusive iTunes album-only cut "Some More" featuring Akon and tune in to his weekly syndicated radio show The Keith Sweat Hotel now airing on over 31 markets nationwide.
Currently on a national tour fans will be able to catch Keith Sweat's remarkable performance on May 31 at Viejas Casino Concerts in The Park (San Diego, CA), June 7 at the Fairgrounds (Pensacola, FL), June 20 at Pechanga Casino & Resort (Temecula, CA), July 11 at Solano County Fair (Vallejo, CA), August 1 at Chene Park (Detroit, MI) and August 15 at the Country Club Hills Theater (Country Club Hills, IL).
Since 1988, the multi-faceted artist has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, racking up six 1 R&B hit singles, with close to 30 chart entries, three multi-platinum, three platinum and two gold albums, Keith Sweat has proved to be unstoppable when it comes to producing classic hits.
Looks like another success record is on the rise with Just Me, a 12-track CD that features Keyshia Cole, Paisley Bettis and long time collaborator Athena Cage.
