Sam's been in and out the hospital since returning from the last TN tour. After visiting several doctor's and specialist's the verdict is that he is suffering from "Sciatica". Sam slipped a disc in his back while loading in gear at the El Corazon in Seattle when he tripped over an acoustic guitar.
Sciatica is caused by a crack in the protective layer over the cartilage between the back bones. The cartilage then spills out and presses against the Sciatic nerve causing either leg to become numb. In Sam's case, it's his right leg that has been pins and needless since he collapsed on stage during sound check at Slim's in San Francisco.
Sam wishes to thank all the fans for their continued support of both him and Toxic. He's currently taking part in physical rehabilitation in hopes to return to the skins and make up for the few shows he was unable to play.
It took a little longer for Sam to begin his healing process due to the fact that he had no health insurance at the time and also refused to cancel the rest of Toxic tour which ended up causing even more damage to his condition.
If you'd like to send him a get well message you can do so by contacting: sam@shootthemoon.us
Thanks again for your support. DIY for life.
