Strictly For The Wicked 2009 - A Word From SickTanicK

Hails to the children of the morning star for you shine bright!

Waddup everyone, i just got back in town mid last night from the first annual strictly for the wicked festival, i wanna say thank you very much to all the artists that performed and all that fans that came out from abroad to see this event. I was confident in this event, but at the same time i didn't honestly know what to expect, but my initial thoughts were that the event would be somewhat successful, and because of all of you, the event turned out to be a huge success in many ways, so i wanna say thank you once again, i truly cannot say it enough! fans and artists came from everywhere from australia, new york, ohio, indiana, canada, pennsylvania and more, to know you all are willing to take out your hard earned money and precious time to be a part of this event is a very humbling and gratifying experience! im very proud of all the artists, you guys all kicked fucking ass live, handled and conducted yourselves in a professional, coolheaded manner, and i have not one complaint. during the course of this show there was not ONE fight, not ONE bit of drama (professionally or personally) and everyone stuck the contract guidelines so i thank you once again and i look foreward to booking many of you yet again next year.


This festival proved that the underground can indeed unite under one flag for one night with no bullshit, that artists can handle their business professionally, and that underground fans are the most loyal amazing people alive, and not only did it also prove that there is substantial money to be made in the horrorcore / wickedshit genre, but that the genre has never "fallen off" as so many would love to instigate and say from thier personal frustrations. If your not making money as an artist
in this genre, you are not working hard enough, plain and simple, and you get not one bit of sympathy or empathy.


The whole event was filmed professionally by a film crew with DV cameras, once my day of R&R is complete i will start the digitizing process for the "Stritcly For The Wicked 2009" DVD which if editing goes smoothly i expect to release exclusively on Killmusick (of course) In december of this year, the dvd will feature performences from all the attending artists, backstage footage, and more, so keep your eyes peeled, you wont wanna miss the dvd if you missed the event, and even if you attended, you know from being there your gunna want
to get it!


I wanna send a special thanks real quick to my camp, it was a honor to finnaly have all eight of us under one roof, you all are the best people i know and i love all of you, im so beyond proud of SKR that i could ejaculate all over myself, we proved once and for all that SKR is here to stay and were doing our DAMN thing like it or not.

I will begin booking for next years festival (which i plan to have as a two day event)
around feb of 2010.
