Category: Writing and Poetry
For those of you who are new to my writing, you're probably more familiar with my social commentary rants. Not too long ago, I wrote a piece of fiction entitled "Building Friction" which was a fantasy of how I wanted certain things in my life to play out.

There are those people who got into it and some who didn't. This post is mainly to let you know that the work has been moved and to give you some easy access links to it if you'd like to read it again (or for the first time).

It was a friends rave reviews of your story that prompted me to seek you out, and, although I have not read them yet ( I do plan to ), it is your wit and talent that have kept me coming back for more.
Thank you for posting this index !!

Is your chin up yet ?

Ahhhhhhh, Miss Zara...

The funny part of you posting Building Friction is that after I was sucked into reading your blogs everyday, I subscribed. When I subscribed, I saw all of the Building Friction posts. So I scanned one. I was facinated. I pulled up my trusty milk crate with a throw on top of it so my ass doesn't get a pattern, leaned against my drive-thru window and read it. All of them. Back to back, in a time period of 2 hours. Those bastard customers that dared to want service while I was reading got the fastest lattes of their lives! When I finally ended the conclusion, a regular came through. When I looked at her, my eyes were bloodshot, teary and I looked like a crazed maniac. While I made her Almond Roca Motion with whip, I told her what I was doing.  She said as soon as she gets around to buying a computer, I will have to show her where to find you. Hmmmmmmmmm. She is about 70-ish. A nice lady with a teased up-do and a Saturn Vue. I wonder how AwesomeZara will affect her???  Lotsa love and lattes!

Snap

I'm a new reader to Zara's world, and so far I enjoy what I read, althought I tell her it's crap because she hates compliements.

I got your blog alert, read part 1, and read them all the way through. Only took me an hour and half though, I read fast :oP

Kudos to Zara, get yourself a publisher hun

Mst

The Bodhi(papa)

This work is what got me originally addicted to you, miss Zara.  I do believe this is saying a lot, due to my general aversion towards rom-com/droms... your vision was able to break past the barriers I've built around myself over the years due to watching crappy movie after sappy movie... like I've told you before, this piece is definitely worthy of a publisher's attention.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure... Zara's darker side is also available on that site in the form of the story Dawn of Darkness.  She claims it's not as well thought out or written as Building Friction, but the twisted side of me really enjoyed it.  Almost as much as B.F.!

ok, its good - in a kind of "reading-it-instead-of-doing-any-work" good

but you really need to proof read it - a lot of repeated words, some are definitely missing and just a personal observation: the characters really go for the swear words

Yeah, it's not a professional piece of work. I fixed typos here and there but never really stuck the nails into it. My biggest downfall is my repetitive vocabulary. I'm aware of it and try to stay on it, but for this one I was just focusing on the story.

This'll be a first... I have never commented on people's blogs that I don't know, but I felt compelled after reading the entire series.  This is a truly great piece of work.  The complexities of the story really suck you into it.  I read it start to finish, in more or less one sitting (only getting up to grab some grub and use the bathroom) and I was absolutely enthralled with the happenings in the life of Chloe.  I found myself not knowing who to cheer for, as every character has their flaws, but also their redeeming values.  The ending fit the story perfectly, and the reactions from each scenario to the next seemed very plausible and realistic.  Not to mention some of  the steamier scenes were very well written and not too over the top.  All in all, a very well thought out and well executed bit of literature, and I will be recommending this for others to read.

You appeal to what the public likes, but that song by Blue October "Hate Me" kept running through my head.  I'm sure if you have heard the words can apply it here.

I read all that in one day and forgot to comment! Shame on me. I loved it. It really hooked me from the start. You have an amazing ability to create characters who seem like people I might know in real life. Oh, and the steamy sex...whew, I had to go home and take care of business after reading all that. Good job, lovely Zara. =)
