Ahh....the much anticipated VHT SIG:X (which was a sensation at the '08 NAMM Show, by the way) has finally touched down here at Tone Merchants.

I'm going to cut directly to the chase. I had a chance to plug in for about an hour today and.... HOKEY - SMOKA - LOKEY, this beast ROCKS!! Imagine all the juiciness of the Deliverance rolled into a 3-channel package. The clean channel is bouncy, warm (but has a familiar vintage sparkle) and very articulate. Kick on the boost, and it's fat, fat, fat...I was able to get a beautiful clean sustain...really responsive.

The Rhythm and Lead channels on the SIG:X are, simply put, quite amazing. There's a ton of gain to be had on this amp, and between these two channels, you can go from a vintage bluesy crunch to all-out balls-to-the-walls screaming tones if you want 'em. The SIG:X provides enough tonal options (boosts, different gain settings, the Voicing controls, etc.) to nail a WIDE variety of flavors...you can spend a heckuva lot of time exploring this amp's possibilities.

Enough of my jabbering, though...I think if you have the opportunity to come in & give this baby a spin, you definitely should, and you can experience the SIG:X for yourself! This particular amp is gonna stay in the shop so that we'll have one here for y'all to try out...(I've got more coming, but they're already spoken for...!!)
