been postin some press stuff on the main page. it's great what folks will say for a hand-job, but you gotta do anal for the best shit. here are some kind words from blogger Greg Newman on the top ten albums of 2007:

1. This one is a no-brainer. Hands down, the absolute best record of 2007 is Chalant's "The Thrill Life." Featuring such singles as "The Glock Been Popped" and "Suck My Pussy," Chalant proves that being fired from your fast food job for having sex on the grill does NOT prevent one from making great music.

Sample lyric from "The Glock Been Popped": "I need a man who's fiscally responsible, sucks on my clit, put (sic) his fist in my asshole - put it in deep, all the way to the elbow..." You can't imagine what comes next.

And don't even get me started about "Suck My Pussy."

Go listen for yourselves:

2. After Chalant, but coming in a close second, is Bartow, FL's own "Riskay," and her album "Drama Queen." That record features the smash hit "Smell Yo Dick," but it's the sleeper hit "Krispy Kreme," with its clever double entendres, that makes the record for me.

As far as I'm concerned, those are the only two records of this fast fading year. But rules are rules, I guess.

3. My Morning Jacket, "Okonokos" (released 9/06). I think MMJ is the best band in the world.

4. Radiohead, "In Rainbows" for proving that collective action problems are often overstated.

5. Dinosaur Jr., "Beyond" because these guys are so unbeleivably good they could change standard grammar rules.

6. Rogue Wave, "Asleep at Heaven's Gate." I'd never heard of this band until the Zune commercial. But "Lake Michigan" is seriously awesome, and I wish I'd written it. That Jack Johnson's label put the record out is just a bonus.

7. Les Savy Fav, "Let's Stay Friends". These guys deserve it.

Seriously, though, if you have to listen to just one record tonight, make it Chalant.
