If you're a struggling artist, chances are you're going to live a hard life. Its been almost a year since I released new material (364 days to be exact!). I've had quite a ride over the last year. A few ups, a few downs, and the usual day to day shit.....

As I grow older, I find it harder and harder to be optimistic. But sometimes you need that optimism to get through the day. I want to tell my fans that I'll always be recording and I will... but these days I find it harder and harder to pull out that energy... that optimism.

Regardless, feeling up or down, I do know I'm making progress. Progress thats nicely reflected in my music...and in my life overall...

Which brings me to the now, April 21st 2009, the day that marks the release of my mixtape "Asoka Before The Legend 2."...

I went a different route in making this CD. No big name features, no drops, just me in the studio with the mic, reflecting on my dreams, my hopes, and even my shortcomings. Its my best material to date. I could easily go on talking forever but...I'll let the music do the talking from here...
