Its Christmas
& Ronnie the Clown´s Dad is coming to town
Ronnie´s Dad is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to the mall

And the symbol of this holiday is a clown without a mask
This rich Turkish bishop with a generous soul
Made into a myth, made into a saint
And finally, made into the winter face of Coke
The greatest marketing tool
And symbol of corporate power
And symbol of elite control
The Santa we know is 75 this year
75 years of slavery
For its not Coke´s coat he wears
Its his soul they own!

Ronnie´s Dad is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to the mall

This pagan feast
Turned into a Christian fest
Turned into a consumerist nest
That incubates a capitalist dream
Lest we forget to spend and send
And exchange little chunks
... of meaningless existence.

That´s why Ronnie´s Dad is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to the mall

But Santa keeps drinkin Coke
And he has a weight problem
He refuses to admit
And his cholesterol is high
From eating his son Ronnie´s burgers
Which is why he is a great role model
For an obese generation
Glued to their playstation
Left by Santa, in their over-sized stockings.

So Ronnie´s Dad is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to the mall

And Rudolph´s nose is red
From digging too many mushrooms
And the rest of the herd drinking his piss
To stay high enough to spot the chimneys
The only place Santa´s gifts are dropped
Shame no one builds chimneys in Africa
So here´s another message that mentions the continent
To add to the mountain of whats now a cliche´
About how little we care...

But wait! Ronnie´s Dad is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to the mall

And someone shouts from the back:
He´s a Christmas Grinch
Which is another word for witch
To be lynched
Or someone who is speaking out
Against a Christmas spirit that haunts them
To be burnt on the stake
To be nailed to a cross
Or given an elves´ uniform
And sentenced for a life of slavery
In some Asian sweatshop
To fabricate shiny precious things
And duplicate gadgets and shooting stars
Which lubricate the anal ascent
Of corporate rule
And thus maintain the stalemate
Of a civilisation that has lost its soul

Santa Claus is coming to the mall

A civilisation that has lost its soul
And stopped to question and wonder
And stopped to ask and ponder
spray painted its eyes
foam filled its ears
at a time when quantum physics
opens an alternative universe
E=MC2 explains we are all made of energy
Our genes are chanting every day
Songs of our origin; Dazzling! Baffling!
Linking story to story
And pealing layers of our history
Probes are probing the surface of Mars
And telescopes finding distant stars
Black holes, and nearby planets
Signs of life around too strong to ignore
And at a time when cloning and nanotechnology are real
Still we miss the magic
Still we search
And look for it in dark dusty alleys
Of words from forgotten languages
Or malls littered with glitter
Or simply silence the questions
With that mind numbing invention
That has evolved and revolved
From terrestrial, to cable, to satellite
And digital thoughts bleeding plasma in HD
Offering a thousand channels of everything you want
And a million 30 second breaks
That lead you back to the mall
Where Santa will always be waiting
